...forever starts here
In 1996 Daniel Lee purchased 80 acres for a farm. He wanted to have horses and cows and a house on a beautiful piece of property with a pond and a waterfall. He named the farm Arran Farm after the island of Arran in Arran Scotland. Arran Scotland was the home to his mother's ancestors which he found beautiful.
The house was finished in 1997 and a very large barn complete shortly after. The barn was used for horses and cows.
In 2012, Matt and Sam (son and daughter-in-law) became engaged and Sam really wanted a "country chic" barn wedding. The couple began looking at venues. This is when the idea of a wedding at Arran Farm came to life. The barn, which was housing animals and old cars at the time, became transformed over the span of a year, to be the host of the very first wedding.
And their friends told their friends and so on! One wedding led to another, and we were a venue!
By 2015, Bill and Allie (son and daughter-in-law) also got married at the farm. This led to expansion and other events at the venue. We now host the annual Barn Dance Benefit (for the Samaritan Health Clinic in Easley) and the Clusters for Kids (benefit for Friends of Pickens County Guardian Ad Litem.)
Arran Farm is also the home to Modern Forestry's Forestry Friday, every month from March-December.
In August of 2017, while hosting the Easley Presbyterian Church Rally the idea came to Daniel to build a Chapel. The Chapel at Arran Farm was completed in 2018.
And so the story continues.
